Licence: Trixbox comes in two (2) distribution packages, a community edition (CE) and Pro edition (PRO), both can be downloaded and used for free, however the PRO edition has Service level support from Fonality and has more features.
Trixbox CE can rely on the Open Source community for support. Trixbox CE runs on Centos Linux, Centos is a GNU / GPL (General Public License) Operating System, other components such as Hudlite and web control panel are non opensource and proprietary, thus Trixbox is not fully GPL software service application.
Cost: Trixbox CE is free for download, other third party applications (e.g Fonality and Hudlite) are proprietary and have a cost.

- CentOS Linux Operating System, the Trixbox installer will automatically install the CentOS (Linux) Operating System prior to installing the Trixbox software.
