About this toolkit

This toolkit was created by the Tactical Technology Collective. Tactical Tech is an international NGO helping human rights advocates use information, communications and digital technologies to maximise the impact of their advocacy work. We provide advocates with guides, tools, training and consultancy to help them develop the skills and tactics they need to increase the impact of their campaigning.

The toolkit was created in partnership with Fahamu.

The toolkit content was inspired by a working meeting in Nairobi, which bought together activists and technologists from around the world to outline the scope, contents and purpose of the toolkit. The toolkit was also tested by four African advocacy organisations.

Funders

The development of the toolkit is supported by Hivos and the Open Society Institute.

Hivos is a Dutch non-governmental organisation inspired by humanist values. Together with local organisations in developing countries, Hivos seeks to contribute to a free, fair and sustainable world in which citizens - women and men - have equal access to the resources and opportunities for their development. And where they can actively and equally participate in decision-making processes that determine their lives, their society and their future.
